Richmond & Short Pump, Virginia

Short Pump

Edna returns to the Daily Grind after two weeks in Italy and Greece with her daughter. Ahhh ... there will be stories to tell and pictures to see ... and that's good. The Grind does not run on coffee alone, but on stories and images.

Melody Gulick continues to work on her ambitious public art project (see Sept. 10 post), transforming a chain-link fence at Plant Zero into an urban tapestry.

Short Pump

Charlotte's and Dianne's forks dig into a Death by Chocolate dessert at Barrel Thief. The new Short Pump shop offers excellent cuisine and desserts as well as fine wines.

All the signals are here. Sadie is ready for bed. While she won't abandon me until I am ready, the hints that it is time are heavy.
